Heartache shared

We will remember our soldiers past

Generations young and old

Who served their queen and country

Full of pride and a heart of gold

So many had young children

Some had partners, mums and dads

Who now have to grieve for them

Very proud, but o’ so sad

On Remembrance Day we’ll salute you all

And Red Poppies we will wear

To help the grieving process

With the heartache shared
